Ruby in Zoisite Anyolite

Ruby in Zoisite, frequently referred to by its trade name Anyolite, is a spectacular natural combination of two distinct minerals found primarily in Tanzania. The stone is composed of earthy, medium-to-deep green Zoisite punctuated by vibrant, opaque inclusions of red Ruby. Often, you will also find speckles of black Tschermakite (a type of Hornblende) throughout the matrix, creating a sophisticated three-color palette.

The name "Anyolite" is derived from the Masai word anyoli, meaning green. Because of the way these minerals intergrow, no two pieces are ever alike—some exhibit large "islands" of ruby, while others feature a delicate, speckled "watermelon" aesthetic.
