Larvakite

Larvikite (often called Black Moonstone or Norwegian Pearl Granite) is a stunning igneous rock that hails from the same family as Labradorite. It is characterized by its sophisticated, dark palette of charcoal, silver, and midnight blue. Its most famous feature is the Schiller effect—a bright, metallic blue or silver flash (labradorescence) that flickers across the surface of the stone when it catches the light. Unlike its "cousin" Labradorite, which has a more translucent grey base, Larvikite is dense and opaque, giving it a heavier, more "industrial" and masculine feel.

With a Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5, Larvikite is a very durable and tough stone.
